X-Factor winning song revealed

The winner's song for this year’s X-Factor is ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey, reports claim. According to The Sun, Simon Cowell picked the track (naturally), which was previously sung on the show by Geordie hopeful Joe McElderry.

‘It is getting to the crucial stages now and Simon and producers are very confident that Joe could be the winner’ reports the newspapers source. ‘He made a great fist of 'Don't Stop Believin' and that has helped’.

‘It's always a difficult call choosing the song, especially as there are some very different talents in the final lineup.’

It’s unknown what the other contestants think about the fact that the winning song choice is one of Joe McElderry’s performed numbers on the reality show. Helpfully, another source in paper has waded in with some speculation: ‘"Danyl and Olly really think they can win. They will be shocked to learn the winner's song is one Joe has already performed.’

It’s also reported that if Journey’s 1981 hit isn’t approved for legal reason, the back up choice is The Climb’ from Hannah Montana: The Movie.
