X-Factor Semi-Final round-up

After what feels like years of witnessing Britain’s best and worst Karaoke contestants sing their little hearts out, we finally found out who the three hopefuls will be fighting it out in next weekend’s X-Factor final.

It was Michael Jackson week on the X-Factor, which saw the four remaining warblers; Stacey Solomon, Olly Murs, Joe McElderry and Danyl Johnson each have a decent crack at murdering a Jacko classic, and boy they had a good go. But it was school teacher Danyl’s final waltz after he received the least votes from the public, leaving us with a live rendition of ‘Man In The Mirror’.

Meanwhile on the Sunday Results Show, Michael failed to show up, so we were left to witness a half arsed performance from sister Janet Jackson who showcased her poor miming skills with a medley of her hits, that’s hits (a nipple slip wasn’t included). Lady Gaga also flew over from the States especially to appear on the show, and performed a rousing live version of ‘Bad Romance’ complete with giant bathtub–turned-piano, which was easily the highlight of the evening.

So, 200,000 entrants have become 3, but who will be crowned X-factor champ 2009? The pantomime concludes this weekend with Sir Paul McCartney, Chris Martin and George Michael rumoured to be the big name acts set to duet with Stacey, Olly and Joe. And could there be one final passing performance from Jedward?
