Wino gets charitable

When you hear the name Amy Winehouse, charity isn’t the first thing that pops into your head: getting leathered in Camden, yes; hanging around with smackheads and other useless trust fund drop outs, yes; putting in half-arsed live performances, yes: thinking about her fellow man/woman; no. However it looks like we might have got the north London songstress wrong.

Wino has apparently turned up at a charity shop with £20,000 worth of flash garms – made by the likes of Alexander McQueen and Luella Bartley – and warned that she would be back with even more goodies. Unfortunately we don’t know where it is – sorry.

‘Amy turned up in a people carrier with loads of stuff in bin liners,’ said a source to The Sun. ‘Top, top designer gear. You'd imagine half of it would be covered in fag burns and smell of wild nights out but it was all in tip-top condition. Amy was joking with the shop girls that she has become addicted to cleaning.

‘She has just moved house and said it was therapeutic getting her Marigolds on in just her underwear and having a clear out. She promised there was more to come. The shop has been going like a fair since word got out.’
