Wall Street 2 Trailer

Ever since the world plunged into a media christened financial crunch, Hollywood movie studios have been looking for ways to cash in (somewhat ironically). The highly anticipated sequel to Wall Street, cunningly titled Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps does just that.

The 1987 original was penned and helmed by Oliver Stone and starred Michael ‘greed is good’ Douglas as money obsessed Gordon Gecko. The first trailer for the upcoming sequel sees the duo reunited for the first time.

Judging by the humorous teaser ('...and one mobile phone') we know that the film starts with Gordon Gecko's release from prison. After that though, the plot devices are a little thin on the ground. However, it's suspected that young upstart Shia LeBeouf succumbs to Gordon’s wicked ways.

Charlie Sheen also makes a return as Bud Fox (if only rumoured to be a cameo), and there’s also the impressive addition of Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, Frank Langella, and Carey Mulligan to the cast.

Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps hits multiplexes on April 23.
