Two and a Half Men Star issues apology after urging fans not to watch the 'filth' of his own show

Who says lightning doesn’t strike twice. Well certainly not the production team behind top rated TV sitcom Two and a Half Men. First there was #WINNING….Now there is #SINNING.

After the Charlie Sheen debacle which saw one of Hollywood’s most sustained and theatrical meltdowns happen in electric technicolour across any airwave that would listen, critics questioned if the show had any life left in it without Sheen as the central figure. Old Tiger Blood himself was certainly betting that they needed him more than he needed them. Well he was wrong, and the show took on Ashton Kutcher, sent up Sheen in several cleverly crafted scenes, and the show remained a favourite.

But it would seem that lunacy has reared it’s really quite amusing head again in the shape of Angus T Jones, the young lad who plays Jake. Potentially confirming all fears about the mental stability of child stars, he has discovered fringe religion, gone AWOL, and starred in a bizarre video for a Christian organization in which he pans the moral degradation of the show that keeps millions entertained and himself on $220,000 an episode.

"Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch." He added, "I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it."

As the story broke webwide yesterday leaving fans and pundits alike wondering just how far this particular breakdown was going to go, he seems to have suddenly realised that he was committing career suicide and issued a grovelling apology.

“I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”

You couldn’t make it up could you? Bet Charlie is wetting himself at these surreal new developments
