The Wrath of Cowell

The new XFactor 'fixing' scandal threatens to keep trundling along on its merry way; now Simon Cowell is apparently 'furious' that Dermot gave quotes to the papers which have fuelled the public's belief that the show is pre-decided and orchestrated. Dermot said yesterday that he knew Cheryl would refuse to vote for either of her 'girls', which meant that Treyc was voted off, despite having more votes than Katie Waissel.

A source told The Daily Mail, ‘Simon is absolutely furious. He denies – 100 per cent – that the XFactor is fixed. The fact that some viewers believe this has left him seething. He’s not particularly happy with Dermot, but to be honest, he thinks the entire thing has been blown out of proportion. He would never want to defraud X Factor fans.’

Dermot yesterday added his thoughts to the 'fix' furore saying, ‘We thought it might happen before the break when we found out who was in the bottom two. We decided if she (Cheryl) wasn’t going to vote we would go to the majority vote.’

Ooh, it's like Autotunes all over again! We do love a good manufactured scandal.
