Susan Boyle trumps Obama on prime time TV

Susan Boyle's conquest of America looks to be continuing apace after Barack Obama was forced to reschedule his prime-time TV health care address because it clashed with an exclusive SuBo interview on NBC.

The Britain's Got Talent runner-up, sporting a dramatic makeover compared to her first TV performance, was interviewed about her dramatic rise to fame by NBC host Meredith Vieira.

Over 275 million Americans have watched SuBo on YouTube and her latest appearance on American TV forced the White House to push Obama's speech back an hour.

Miss Boyle revealed that she is currently working on her debut album under the guidance of Simon Cowell before talking about how fame has changed her life: "Anyone who has that kind of impact finds it hard to get their head around it."

"The impact, [was] like a demolition ball. You know, and anyone who has that kind of impact - finds it really hard to get a head around it. I've got to be honest here," Boyle continued. "Through the - the guidance of a great team, and they are very good, I was able to see that in perspective and really turn that around a little."

"Being plucked from obscurity is a bit like, you know, going on a long journey," Boyle said. "You don't know what's going to happen. You don't know how it's going to end. I don't want it to end."
