Super (British) Man!

British actors aren’t just the cream of the crop in Hollywood at the moment but they’re the cream of the superhuman crop. Already a Welshman is buckling up his utility belt as Batman (Christian Bale), an Englishman is currently using his Spidey-senses whilst filming the new Spiderman movie (Andrew Garfield) and now Superman will be a Brit.

Superman is to get a big screen reboot (yes, we know it was like only yesterday Brandon Routh was flying faster than a speeding bullet) and British actor Henry Cavill will play the lyrca-wearing lead. The new movie will be helmed by ‘300’ director Zac Synder and talking about his new project Synder said; ‘In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognised and revered character of all time and I am honoured to be a part of his return to the big screen.’

Cavill’s acting credits include 'I Capture The Castle', 'Tristan & Isolde', 'Stardust' and BBC’s drama series 'The Tudors'. He was up for playing the lead in the Nolan’s 'Batman' AND new Spiderman film, but was pipped at the final post by Bale and Garfield. Bloody Brits eh?

It’s still unknown who will play Clarke Kent, to be VERY clear this is a joke.
