Sharon Stone apologises for China earthquake remarks

So Sharon Stone, not only the most hated woman in China, but also the "public enemy of all mankind" (Xinhua News Agency) has issued an apology for her comments regarding the China earthquake - a disaster she blithely blamed on 'bad karma' while trotting down the red carpet at Cannes. Stone apologised for the blunderous outburst, saying she is a committed charity worker and now 'wants to help the Chinese people' in the relief effort.

"Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people....I feel deeply the Chinese people's wisdom and hospitality."

Will that be enough to stop the Chinese government banning all Sharon Stone films and memorabilia for ever more? Or Dior from plugging all adverts featuring Sharon Stone in China? Ooops, too late.
