Jonathan Ross has piled on the pounds during his enforced sabbatical, but even we'd blanch at comparing the lispy chat-show host to the tubby man from the Go Compare ads. But that's precisely what happened to Ross on a charity trip to a children's hospital.
Ross told The Sun that his moment of shame came on a visit to Great Ormand's Street, when he was asked by a little girl to sing 'his song'. 'I told her, 'Why don't you start my song and I'll join in?' So she said, 'All right' and sang, 'Go Compare! Go Compare!' She thought I was that fat t*** who sells insurance. I wish I could say I was joking.'
The 'fat t**t' responded, telling the paper, 'I laughed my head off. I can honestly say that I've never been mistaken for Jonathan Ross.'
