Ross, Clarkson, Moyles: BBC pay cut

It may have taken a ‘whacky prank phone call’ for it to happen, but it looks like the BBC are to give into media pressure and cut their biggest stars' pay packets.

According to The Sun, the Beeb will reduce every TV and Radio presenter earning more than £100,000 a year (i.e. all of them) by 25%.

A jealous source is quoted saying: "If someone says, 'I'm not prepared to accept that deal', then the BBC will say, 'OK, thanks, see you'. All the other broadcasters are slashing costs, so they're confident that whatever they offer will be market rates - just lower than before."

If these cuts come into action poor Jonathan Ross stands to lose nearly £5m a year - ‘poor’ not being the operative word.
