Ricky's Golden Globes

With the amount of Brit celebs now conquering the US, you'd be forgiven for feeling a little smug. After all, if even types like Piers Morgan and Sean Maguire can make it, then literally anyone can. And that's why we're heading out to LA next week for our screen tests...Our bid at fame aside, Ricky Gervais is presenting the Golden Globes this Sunday, and he gave an interview to Ellen where he cracked a few funnies.

Speaking on Ellen, Gervais gave a heads up to nervous celebs saying, 'Charlie Sheen has obviously put his head above the parapet,' he told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show. Like last year, Mel Gibson was a gift from the comedy god. So yeah, that'd be two good people out of the audience. These are people that really have something to go after.'

Ricky continued, 'I only go for the weak and the feeble. I'm not going to have a go at Russell Crowe or Mickey Rourke. Mickey Rooney maybe. Betty White, I'm not scared of her. You've got to choose your targets wisely. I don't think I went far enough,' he said. 'Obviously not, because they invited me back. So, I'm going to do it again, do a proper job. And I guarantee they will not invite me back.'

The Golden Globes will take place this Sunday.
