Gordon Ramsay has been left a little red of face, after the US version of Masterchef, which he co-produces, resorted to faking huge crowds of participants after embarassingly few people turned up to audition. Editors replicated groups of people, but carried out the job in such a cack-handed manner, that eagle-eyed viewers spotted the gaffe immediately.
A spokesman for the production company told The Sun, 'We have reviewed the footage and it's clear that the scene was enhanced in post-production. We sincerely apologise to our viewers and hope that they still enjoyed the show.'
It's been a tough year for Ramsay Plc; his new film 'Love Kitchen went straight to DVD (um, since when has Gordon been making movies?), and he fell out in spectacular style with his father-in-law, after sacking him from his company.
