Publishers battle for Amanda Knox's biography

Publishers and television networks are competing for the much-anticipated tell-all biography of Amanda Knox.

Knox, 24, has hired the same literary agent as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Elton John to negotiate a deal.

The American women successfully appealed a murder conviction for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy.

Knox spent almost four years in an Italian prison but has kept a low profile since her release.

She wrote so many diaries in jail that an extra suitcase was needed to take them back to the U.S.

"I think it’s a huge gamble for somebody," one publisher told the New York Times. "It’s not like she has been exonerated in a clear and definitive way."

Knox’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, who had his conviction overturned last October, also has a literary agent and ghost-writer.
