Preposterous stuff

Celebrity feuds are a dime a dozen these days. Barely a day goes by when there isn’t some Z-lister or other having a pop at another piece of reality show fodder, or even upper mid-range famous people like Cheryl Cole and Lily Allen, or Lily Allen and Mike Skinner, or Lily Allen and anyone else who gets on her nerves, probably through Twitter. However, a truly bizarre row is brewing between rock opera legend Meatloaf and cosy filthy book scribbler Alan Titchmarsh.

The two are working on lame reality show Popstar to Operastar, and Meat is unhappy at the gardener-turned presenter snubbing him on the show, asking for the opinions of Katherine Jenkins, Laurence Llewellyn Bowen and Rolando Villazon rather than his. He even went as far as scribbling ‘protest’ at Titchmarsh when he cut him off mid-flow during last Friday’s show to ask what Myleene Klass thought.

‘It was all the camera crew could do to ensure it wasn't in shot,’ said some source to The Sun. ‘Meat Loaf seems convinced there is a conspiracy and that Alan is avoiding him. But he's doing what the producers tell him in his earpiece. He tells Meat Loaf this but he doesn't seem to buy it. It makes things very tense.’
