Piers was 'oversold'

Piers Morgan has not had a vintage start to his new career as a world famous presenter. Ratings started strongly, but quickly fell away, critics have taken delight in mocking his sycophantic intervewing technique. And now, Larry King, the man who Piers took over from last month, has delivered a less-than flattering verdict.

According to The Daily Mail, when asked for his verdict on Morgan, Larry said, 'I think they might have been better off starting quietly. I think one of the problems they did was over sell it. He was going to be dangerous, he was going to be water cooler talk. He's good but not that dangerous. I think they might have been better off starting quietly and that's not Piers' fault, or maybe it is, I'm not inside anymore. He's certainly not bad. He's certainly an acceptable host. He asks good questions, maybe he interrupts a little too much at times. I think he may have been oversold.'

In retaliation, Piers tweeted,'Got a feeling we may need to discuss Larry's claim that I'm 'oversold' and 'not dangerous'. The smug telly presenter also dropped hints about his next guest, saying, 'The secret guest has had an incredible life, on and off screen, and I suspect there will be a little tension in the air too.' Hmmm, who could it possibly be?
