CRITICAL

This series may not appeal to everyone out there as it is an unconventional concept, but the pedigree is top notch. From Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio, this series will follow a trauma specialist (actor Lennie James) for an hour each week – in real time!

AMAZON PILOTS

Amazon’s innovative production concept of having the audience help choose which shows to put into production surely has proven itself with the wildly successful Transparent. This year The Man in the High Castle from Ridley Scott looks a sure winner, as does The New Yorker Presents. Down Dog, centred around a yoga studio, could be a sleeper hit.

WAR AND PEACE

An ambitious project, to say the least. Tolstoy’s tome will be played out with a star-studded cast: Lily James, James Norton, and Paul Dano just to name a few. The incredible piece of literature was adapted for the screen by Andrew Davies, whose past works include none other than Pride and Prejudice and the original House of Cards.
