Tom Cruise of Top Gun fame gave a convincing performance in Jerry McGuire and the Rainman. Apart from these, Cruise has not had any incredible roles. If anything, he is mostly associated with the MI series, films which do well at the box office, but do not necessarily evoke outstanding performances.
