Peaches Geldof will probably get divorced, yawn yawn
Here's a good reason to get married - it won't last forever and you can get divorced any time you like. Everyone else does.
Peaches I'll Do Anything for A Bit Of Publicity Geldof has admitted that of course her whirlwind marriage to Max Drummey won't last, and that of course they'll prob get divorced soon. Like duh.
“You can’t ignore divorce rates. Every friend of mine has parents who are divorced.I didn’t go into it with Max thinking, ‘This is going to last forever’. But I did go into it thinking, ‘I love him right now and I know that I will continue to love him for a long while’.” That's good then.
Peaches also talked about how Max first wooed her, inviting her to come and 'hang with him' in America when life in the UK got too hum drum for the IT girl.
“I was going through a difficult time with my other relationship. Max said, ‘Why don’t you come and hang with me in America?’. “I felt trapped at home and it sounded good so I went. He’s amazing. He has this magnetism. I fell under his spell. We were travelling across America, visiting towns. It was fun and I felt so free. He said to me, ‘I don’t want you to go back to London. I don’t want to lose this bond with you. Why don’t we go to Las Vegas and get married?’"
What a swell idea. And what a swell idea to just get divorced when it doesn't work out. Obviously celebrities operate on a different set of social rules to the rest of the world, but seriously, what is the point of getting hitched if it means about as much to you as ordering a Big Mac at a drive thru Micky Ds - apart from the publicity and the chance of dining out on the 'craaazy' story for years to come? Oh yeh, there aren't any other reasons.
