Nicole Scherzinger to Quit X Factor 2014

Nicole Scherzinger has spent the last few weeks deliberating long and hard over whether to continue as an X Factor judge for 2014. The decision has not been an easy one for her and her experiences on the X Factor has made it that much harder for her to make her mind up.

However, it now seems as though the decision has finally been made with Simon Cowell thanking her for all she has done for the show. It seems that the pivotal reason for Nicole was a conscious decision to focus on her music career in the coming year.

Simon Cowell is said to be gutted that Nicole will not be a part of the show this year as she is incredibly popular with fans in the UK. Late last night, Simon tweeted "Nicole will always be a part of the X factor family. Now signed to Sony as an artist. Thank you Nicole for everything.".

But as they say, the show must go on and speculation is already mounting as to who will make up the panel this time around. With Gary Barlow stepping aside, Simon Cowell has already confirmed that he will be returning to his chair for the first time since 2010. Since he left, viewing figures for X Factor have steadily decreased so thanks to his return, 2014 promises to be a big year for the show.

There are also strong rumours that Cheryl Cole will make a return after a hiatus since her controversial split from X Factor USA back in 2011. Get ready for a revamped X Factor in 2014 which has a lot of work to do to beat out some fierce competition in the form of Strictly Come Dancing.
