Makes you wonder just how bad you have to be for viewers to vote you off BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing… After coming bottom of the class for two weeks in a row and being lambasted by the judges, GMTV’s Kate Garraway was given another stay of execution by a forgiving public.

This time it was a tearful Penny Lancaster who was given the boot – to the amazement of the judges. The rules of the contest were changed this time around to give the panel more of a say, but that hasn’t stopped some of the more talented contestants from getting the public axe.
