Channel 4 – well, its sister, is thankfully resting Celebrity Big Brother for a year – to give us all a break from z-list stars crying into their pillows, presumably. But the broadcaster is to screen a new show – Big Brother Celebrity Hijack in January. Sadly it doesn’t involve Dean Gaffney and pals trying to redirect a Jumbo Jet to Walford. Instead, as yet unnamed celebs get to pick a group of talented youngsters to be in the infamous house. They then control what happens to them over the ensuing weeks.

Sounds fascinating.

Apparently the show’s makers are extremely excited about the project. Mmm…
