Gervais: “Can you tell me how to get how to get to Sesame Street?'”

Natalie Portman, Stevie Wonder, David Beckham and Robert De Niro are just some of the privileged few to have strode down the most famous sidewalk in the world. Well now it looks like Ricky Gervais will join them if he accepts a rumoured offer to appear on an episode of legendary TV show ‘Sesame Street’.

Using his podgy paws to scribble on his RickyGervais.com blog, the rotund comic said: "I've been asked to do Sesame Street - there are some things you don't turn down."

The last British celebrity to be appropriately given the Big Birdie treatment was James Blunt. He good naturedly made a right tit out of himself, and his MOR music. Let's hope Gervais is as giving. Listen to Blunt singing about his missing triangle.
