Brilliant. First there was Rick Rolling - the internet craze which endlessly redirects users to a video of Rick Astley singing 'Never Gonna Give You Up'...and now there's another equally inventive, achingly comical waste of a few online minutes : Barack rolling.

Just like Rickrolling, BarackRolling redirects users to clips of Barack dancing and orating to the tune of 'Never Gonna Give You Up'.

In a stroke of muscular editing, Barack's speeches have been chopped to mirror the exact lyrics of the song. As Barack's deep, authoritative voice booms 'never gonna give you, let you down, run around or desert you' over the Eighties synth beats, the anthem takes on a peculiarly powerful and yet sublimely ridiculous edge. The possible future President can cut it on the dancefloor too.
