With Blake Incarcerated rotting in the can it was never going to be long before Amy Winehouse took a lover.

Cue Alex Haines, the 22 year old 'backroom aide' to Amy's manager who's stepped up to the plate - and is currently performing secret lover slash official boyfriend to be duties until Amy gets shot of Blake once and for all. I.e divorce.

Haines has been described as a party animal who would do anything for fame and fortune. "The thing that motivates him is money. He always said he would do anything to get rich and he would love to be famous too" a pal of Alex's has said. (The Mirror)

Maybe not the best candidate for long term stability then. Though Amy's mam Janis thinks Haines could be just the ticket to finally sort Amy out. "She needs a man who can look after her. I am praying Alex is that man” says Jan. (The Sun)

Janis also reckons the whole furore around Amy clocking a guy on the street the other night was blown out of all proportion - and was nothing but a silly tantrum on Amy's part when she couldn't get her own way. In short, a typical twentysomething strop.

Mitch Winehouse meanwhile thinks Amy's hit rock bottom and should be sectioned. Which might just be the most sensible thing we've ever heard Mitch say.

We want Amy back to her former glory and not just a stuttering blood stained ballet pumped mess. Sort it out Amy! Can't say that enough.
