You would’ve thought that socialite extraordinaire Paris Hilton would have no shortage of good friends. But it seems Paris’s BFFs aren’t living up the heiress’s high expectations. Nicole Richie, now nursing a new-born, just doesn’t have the time to lavish Paris with the attention she expects, and super-party girl Tara Reid isn’t exactly the person to turn to when you need advice…

So in a new reality TV show, Miss Hilton will travel the United States of America to find herself a best friend. But Paris, don’t you know, you can’t buy friends with 15 minutes of fame! Well okay, you can, but not real ones - that’s never going to work! Oh well - apparently here’s why she’s doing it.

"Paris is tired of the haters and she's looking for someone new. She's looking for someone new and cool who she can trust," says a source – probably one of Paris’s close friends, who was trusted not to blab.

Hmm…we’re starting to think this may be a good idea.
