They’ve made some pretty awful remakes in Hollywood recently. Sly Stallone’s version of Get Carter was laughably poor. The shot-by-shot recreation of Psycho was completely forgettable. And Matt Damon’s Italian Job was, for the most part, not set in Italy. I mean, purlease.

So, Mr Hollywood, I’m writing to Santa to ask for a remake of the Magnificent Seven. I’d like Tak Fujimoto to shoot it. I’d like John Woo to direct it. And I’d like the Cohen Brothers to write the screenplay.

I would like the following stars to be in it: Giovanni Ribisi, John Leguizamo, Russell Crowe, Vince Vaughn, Tom Sizemore, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ethan Hawke.

A movie like this would break every box-office record going.
