Does the sight of red trucks driving through the snow delivering carbonated drinks to all the land get you in the mood for Christmas? If so, you’re not the only one. It seems no one says Merry Christmas quite like a multi-national corporation.

Coca-Cola’s Holidays Are Coming ad was voted the nation’s favourite festive advert. In second place: Irn-Bru’s take on Raymond Brigg’s The Snowman. And in third spot is Marks and Spencer with Shirley Bassey getting the party started.

The most recent ad to make the top 10 – and perhaps the most surprising – is the new Spice Girl’s effort for Tesco. Well, it does conjure up that Christmas spirit. Everyone pretending to like each other for the sake of Christmas cheer when, in fact, they’d rather avoid each other.

Perhaps the Spice Girls should’ve got the number 1 spot. Let’s face it, it’s the only one they’ll be enjoying this year.
