Rumours have been doing the rounds since the closing credits of Ghostbusters II rolled to a close 20 years ago about whether there would be a third installment of the caper or not and now Billy Murray has laid down his biggest hint yet that he will return as prof Peter Venkman.
Recently Murray said he’d only do it if he came back as a ghost, which as nice idea as it is, would leave most fans feeling a little short changed. However, talking to Coming Soon it seems he’s been swayed to do more: ‘I actually thought the other day - it's just become so irritating - but I actually heard people like, young people that really heard of the movie when they were kids and I thought, 'You know, maybe I should just do it. Maybe it'd be fun to do.'
Praising his then co-starts he added: ‘the guys are funny and I miss Rick Moranis and Annie Potts and Danny Aykroyd. You know, I miss them. I think that's really a big part of it.’
Looks like a yes to us then, but no word about Harold Ramis. Bill? Have you had a little squabble with Harold?
