Misha B hits back at X Factor judges
X Factor contestant Misha B has hit back at judges Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh after the pair accused her of bullying the show’s other remaining finalists.
The 19-year-old hopeful was installed as one of the early favourites to win this year’s edition of the hit reality show after she wowed the judges during her audition earlier this summer.
However, Tulisa and Walsh voiced their concern about the 19-year-old’s offstage behaviour following her rendition of Prince’s Purple Rain last night.
'There is no doubt about it, when it comes to talent you are way up there,’ Tulisa said. ‘Most people they come into the competition and they need to be built up and progress but you came as a whole package and you are definitely the star of the show.’
The N-Dubz singer continued: 'But I do have one negative this week. I think you are very competitive and I’ve seen a different side of you backstage and you don’t realise that you do it.'
'But in some ways you being so feisty can come across as quite mean to certain contestants and I’ve been told by a few this week there’s been a few mean comments towards them.'
Tulisa continued: 'I’m not putting you down but take that feistiness and energy when you get on the stage and leave them all behind. Put aside the attitude.'
Speaking on the Xtra Factor afterwards Misha B didn’t deny that there had been some tension backstage but added that she was upset by the judges' comments.
'I’m here [for the] music, things do get heated backstage, but I'm going to take it on what they've said and take it in my stride,' she said.
'I know the people at home who see me for who I am and see me for my talent on the stage will vote for me and I know the people in the competition who know me like Janet and Sophie know I'm not the person they've made me out to be.'
Misha B’s mentor Kelly Rowland also came to the 19-year-old’s defence on Twitter claiming that she only acts the primadonna while performing and went on to describe her as both 'gracious and humble'.
