Matthew McConaughey to grow an orchard from son's placenta

Ok, so we recently reported Matthew McConaughey's beyond annoying antics during the birth of his son. Well now he's gone one step beyond 'bohemian first time enthusastic dad' mode - and admitted to wanting to plant the pacenta from Levi Alves birth, in an orchard. Far out dude.

Apparently planting placenta in single trees is something Aboriginal and South American cultures have been doing for years - but Matthew's keen to take the trendy tribalism one step further by planting a whole field made from his son's afterbirth.

"It's going to be in the orchards and it's going to bear some wonderful fruit. When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river ... and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength. This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous" said Matthew.

And as if being quite literally tuned into a tree wasn't bad enough - poor Levi can't even get a decent 40 winks in his own house. Matthew says the concept of 'keeping quiet because the baby's sleeping' is defunct in his house. Banging bongoes, humming along to tribal inspired music, hanging out with other like minded bohos in his palatial pad - if all the racket wakes little Levi up, so much for the better. That way he'll learn the ways of the boho too. "You're never told in our house, 'Shh, Levi is sleeping.' No. Get used to the ambiance. Come with us. That's how I was raised."

Sounds like a nightmare for the wee scrap, and bound to keep Matt's girlfriend Camilla up. If a newborn doesn't have a good sleep routine, mummy and daddy's sleep routine gets ruined too. Well not Matthew's - he's too busy dancing the bongo fandango to bother with routines!
