Led Zeppelin to tour without Robert Plant?

Led Zeppelin are looking at dumping Robert Plant for a new singer, according to reports in The Sun at the weekend.

Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham’s son Jason Bonham are back in the studio rehearsing for a new world tour, but due to Robert Plant’s commitments with singer Alison Krauss the legendary brummie can’t join them.

Jimmy, John Paul and Jason who since playing their one-off landmark O2 Arena show last year have openly said they’d “love to tour again” have been practising with a stand-in American singer.

In other Led Zep news, Robert Plant is set to take his wife on holiday to the Caribbean. When asked by a reporter “D’yer Mak’er*?” the frontman said “No, I think she always wanted to go” .

*D'yer Mak'er, is a Led Zeppelin song that featured on their Houses Of The Holy album.
