Lauren Lambert crowned Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model

Lauren Lambert was crowned the winner of Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model 2013, yesterday evening.

BINTM Host Elle Macpherson and judges Dannii Minogue and Tyson Beckford had whittled the selection down to just three girls, Lambert 23, Sarah Kennedy, 22, and Emma Ward, 20, with the final round of the modeling challenge in a swimwear shoot for St Tropez, in the Barbados.

Lauren was stunning in an electric blue swimsuit on a St. Tropez campaign and then dominated on the catwalk - despite tripping up over the train of her dress.

Lambert decided to apply to BINTM after her grandmother passed away, who had told her to ‘for her dream,’ with Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum as her model inspirations.

"When I applied for Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model I didn't know if I was going to get accepted nor get this far in the competition," said Lambert who grew up in St Lucia, and moved to London at the age of ten.

"The whole experience has been out of this world and I feel so blessed and grateful to have had this opportunity."

With the victory, Lambert was given a coveted contract with Models 1 and the cover and a photo feature with Company magazine, that will appear in the October issue of the women’s magazine and on sale from September 11.

The new 6ft 2in top model and has also won national campaigns with make-up brand Revlon and hair-care brand TRESemmé, plus a New York shopping spree.

Judge Dannii Minogue said: "Lauren exudes beauty from the inside. Her philosophy of life is so positive, and she lets that shine in her photographs. "She is a deserved winner and it will be great to see her representing Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model globally."

BINTM Live 2013 is set to return for the Clothes Show Live from 6-10 December 2013.
