Joaquin Phoenix's train crash interview on Letterman

Joaquin Phoenix's slide into obscurity took another step last night with a train crash interview on the David Letterman show. The Oscar nominated actor, sporting a Rip Van Winkle beard and a pair of sunglasses, was on the show to promote his latest film Two Lovers and did his best impression of a pretentious and humourless bore.

The star of Walk the Line gave monosyllabic answers and was only able to string more than two words together when asked about his music career. For anyone who hasn't been on the internet over the last month, old Joaquin is quitting acting to become a rapper. Clearly acting's loss will be Hip Hop's gain. Check out the Letterman video below.
