Jaggers drawn

Well well. The Rolling Stones may be just about the only band to still be going strong, without ever splitting up and re-forming, almost 50 years after they formed. But it turns out they've been staying together more as business partners than friends.

In an interview in the Times- hawking his new autobiography - Keith Richards has admitted he finds his singer and on-stage buddy, Mick Jagger, 'unbearable.'

In the book he says, 'It was the beginning of the eighties when Mick started to become unbearable.' This seems entirely feasible, since Jagger spent much of his drug-addled 80s making dire solo records, without ever actually leaving the Stones.

It's clear from the interview, though, that things haven't improved: ''I used to love Mick, but I haven't been to his dressing room in 20 years,' Richards went on. 'Sometimes I think, 'I miss my friend'. I wonder, 'Where did he go?'.'

Presumably this means that, if Mick is first to die, Keef won't be snorting his ashes in 'tribute'...
