Jacko was gay, claims new book

The King Of Pop has been in the ground for barely a fortnight and the mongering has about his sexuality has already begun. A book, "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson" written by investigative reporter Ian Halperin claims that Jacko was in fact gay and had a string of lovers, one of whom he would sneak out to meet late at night dressed as a woman.

In a masterstroke of good timing, Halperin began the book 6 months before Jacko's untimely demise and claims that everyone he spoke to with regard to Michael's private life said it was a well known fact that he was gay. "In the course of my investigations, I spoke to two of his gay lovers, one a Hollywood waiter, the other an aspiring actor" said Halperin. "'Lawrence' said Jackson was introduced to him by the sister of one of his aides. Their affair was short but "passionate" and took place almost every night for three weeks at the actor's home in the Hollywood Hills." The actor in question claims: "He was very shy, but when he started to have sex, he was insatiable. The very first time he [had sex with] me, he said, 'The King of Pop's going to lick your lollipop.' I still laugh thinking about that."

Harlepin also tells of Jacko's financial strife, which allegedly forced him to meet one of his lovers in a run down motel - (although it's hard to believe he was quite that broke.) "He met a construction worker and fell madly in love with him," the source said. "Michael would leave the house in disguise, often dressed as a woman, and would go meet his boyfriend at a motel that was one of Vegas' grungiest dives. Michael was broke. He struggled to put food on the table for his children. That was all he could afford then."

All of which makes for potentially embarrassing reading for the Jackson family, but in the great scheme of things, isn't so shocking. It's just sad that Jackson didn't find the courage to live an openly gay life (if the rumours are true) before he died.

Perhaps more sinister are the allegations Halperin makes about the singing legend's association with the Nation of Islam. A shadowy figure called Dr. Tohme Tohme allegedly took control of MJ's affairs after the singing legend had been introduced to the hardline group by his nanny Grace Rwaramba. An aide who spoke to Halperin, told how "They (Nation of Islam) were scary people, very intimidating. I'm not sure why Michael was so in thrall to the Nation. There were rumors he had secretly converted to Islam and that he was one of them, but I never saw him praying to Mecca . . . Yet the Nation of Islam seemed to be controlling his life. We couldn't figure it out." Halperin also claims that Rwaramba later complained about the influence the Nation was having over Jacko's life, claiming that he rented a house from them for $100,000 a month which should have been worth $20,000 (no wonder he was skint.)

What with LaToya's claims this weekend that Jacko's death was not accident, it looks like the Michael Jackson conspiracy juggernaut is just going to roll and roll......
