It's a tweet Jim, but not as we know it

Hollywood's Jim Carrey has always had one of those 'kooky' personalities that seems permanently teetering on the brink of common or garden madness. Well now, via the medium of twitter, it seems that Jim may have fallen off that particular mental tightrope into genuinely worrying eccentricity. Though it makes it all the more fun for us.

Carrey tweeted on Saturday: 'I have freed Truman at long last!' a reference to the character he played in The Truman Show. And then: 'I am grateful for my avatar's many yrs of dedicated service, but no-one has ever won the Tour De France while back peddling… so I killed him (sic).'

The next evening, Jim carried (sorry) on in the same vein: 'I do not plan 2 bow to expectations or to be confined by the fear of losing altitude in the 'statusphere'! (my word)… This is no breakdown! It's a breakthrough! And if you'll just loosen these straps, I'll show you the difference!'

Um, okay then Jim...(back away from the computer now, there's a good chap)
