Since there was a real chance that a 'Ghostbusters 3' could be in the pipeline movie nerds everywhere have been wetting their pants over the prospect. Where as most sequels seem to have the sole purpose of cashing-in with a return there isn’t anyone who doesn’t want to see Venkman, Stanz and Spengler in a third installment of the cult classic.
The latest news comes courtesy of Dan Aykroyd who says he’d love to star in a second sequel but the only stumbling block is from Bill Murray, who is more reluctant. Talking to Access Hollywood, the comic actor said; ‘We hope to make the movie with Bill Murray. That's where we're standing… I'm in. There's a great story to be told. The promise of the new movie is handing the torch to the young because, you know, Ray and Winston and Egon and Peter Venkman, we're a little taxed physically now. We can't be frontline operators anymore so we need the youth!’
The latest from the Bill Murray camp came when he appeared on The Howard Stern radio show in February and he said he hadn’t even read the script.
