Having arrived in Australia earlier this week with an array of monochrome, Cruella De Ville-inspired costumes Lady Gaga has admitted that her wacky outfits are as important to her as her vital organs.
Writing in her V Magazine column, the increasingly eccentric 25 year old claimed: ‘The lines for myself have become so blurred now, I know not the difference between a moment of performance and a moment of honesty.’
Is Gaga suffering from delusions of grandeur? Has she lost it completely, or is she simply embracing her ‘destiny’, which is apparently ‘to exist halfway between reality and fantasy at all times’.
Her comments have caused some critics to accuse her of morphing into a caricature of herself. To which she would retort: ‘They call me ‘theatrical,’ but I posit profusely that I am theatre, and that theatre is me. I am a show with no intermission.’ Which, let’s be honest, isn’t exactly going to help matters! We know not what to expect next.
