Fox fired after Hitler jibe

In her short career, Megan Fox has succeeded in winning a reputation as a 'difficult' character, prone to making ill-advised statements to the press. This is obviously great fun for us, but less so for the poor directors who attempt to work with her. And now, on the eve of the latest Transformer's release, we hear that Fox was fired by none other than Steven Spielberg for her comments that Transformers director Michael Bay was like Hitler.

In an interview to promote the latest Tranformers film, Michael admitted that Spielberg had been behind the sacking. He said, 'You know the Hitler thing. Steven said, fire her right now.'

A 'crew member', rumoured to be the director himself posted on Bay's website, 'Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses' life. He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth. She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina – second thought – she's no Angelina. You see, Angelina is a professional.

Ouch. Fox was later replaced by Brit supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as the love interest in Transformers.
