Four Lions: very funny indeed

Chris Morris - scourge of The Daily Mail and genius behind Brass Eye and The Day Today will show his long awaited Jihadii comedy, Four Lions at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, and as luck would have it The Guardian has got hold of clip. (See below.)

Four Lions is a satire about a group of would-be suicide bombers who struggle to pull off their terrorist aims. If you're not convinced that Jihadi terrorism is a valid comedic font, then check out what Chris Morris and Warp Films (the production company behind the project) have to say about it:

'Even those who have trained and fought jihad report the frequency of farce. At training camps young jihadis argue about honey, cry for their mums, shoot each other's feet off, chase snakes and get thrown out for smoking … Terrorist cells have the same group dynamics as stag parties and five-a-side football teams. There is conflict, friendship, misunderstanding and rivalry. Terrorism is about ideology, but it's also about berks.'

Yes it is. Watch and weep peeps
