Flying fish : 45 second in air record

If fish could fly. Make that if octopuses could fly. Because turns out, fish can.

A BBC crew has captured a flying fish on camera, flapping through the air for a record breaking 45 seconds. The video was taken alongside a Japanese trawler and is already creeping it's way to the top of the You Tube charts.

Looks like a shiny, slippy bird to us - but if the experts say those are pectoral fish fins and not any old pair of bird wings who are we not to believe them. Watch the flying fish in action.
