Fifty Shades of Grey: Rita Ora Cast As Christian Grey's Sister

British pop star Rita Ora is the latest person to be cast in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie. According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, she’ll play 'Mia Grey', the sister of Christian Grey, in the adaption.

The 23 year-old’s part won’t be all that pivotal to the plot of the movie but it’s her most important role to date. The 'How We Do' singer confirmed the news on her twitter feed, posting: “It's official! I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian's sister Mia. #FiftyShades." She’s been involved with other movies before. Her most famous role to date has to be in Fast and Furious 6 but she was also in the 2004 movie “Spivs”.

Ora will star alongside Jamie Dornan, who’s nabbed the lead role of Christian Grey, and Dakota Johnson who’s playing the story’s heroine, Anastasia Steele. Other members of the cast that have been confirmed include Eloise Mumford, Jennifer Ehle and Luke Grimes. British director Sam Taylor-Johnson will be at the helm of the erotic thriller that tells the story of college student Anastasia Steele falling for billionaire S&M freak Christian Grey.

There have been plenty of delays with the production of the movie and it took the producers a long time to settle on a lead actor after Charlie Hunnam dropped out at the last minute. But the cameras are now rolling on the set according to a note on EL James’ Instagram profile, so there shouldn’t be any further delays to the production. The movie’s release is now expected to be 13th February 2015, which is the Valentine’s weekend. That's ideal for anyone who wants to take his girlfriend on a romantic evening out that ends with the two of them watching a movie that will no doubt feature a few dodgy S&M scenes.
