In the list of all-time worst tragedies to befall a TV presenter, announcing the wrong winner at the end of a dramatic reality show, where people's lives are about to be altered, probably comes somewhere near the top.

Poor Sarah Murdoch, the presenter of Australia's Next Top Model will be feeling a bit ill today, after mistakenly telling Kelsey Martinovich she had won the show. Cue hysterical celebrations. She then had to reveal her mistake - that the actual winner was Amanda Ware, the rival standing next to her.

After being informed of her error, the presenter said, 'This is insane. Oh my God, I don't know what to say right now. I'm feeling a bit sick about this. No. I'm so sorry about this. Oh my God. I don't know what to say. This was a complete accident. It's Amanda, I'm so sorry. It was fed to me wrong.'
