Elin Nordegren speaks

As we reported on yesterday, Elin Nordegren refused to sign any divorce deal that committed her to silence on her life with the Tiger, and she hasn’t exactly hung about waiting to tell her side of the story. The former Mrs Woods revealed all (sort of) to People Magazine within seconds of her finalising their divorce, telling the gaudy tabloid rag that she’s ‘been through hell’.

Amazingly she says that she never had an inkling that her hubby was holing as many birdies off the course as on it, and that the stress of all the revelations about Woods’ wandering wood caused her hair to fall out. She also denies attacking him with a golf club, which is a bit of a shame.

‘I've been through hell.’ she said in her 'explosive' interview. ‘The word betrayal isn't strong enough. I'm so embarrassed that I never suspected - not one. For the last 3½ years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and school. I felt stupid as more things were revealed - how could I not have known anything?’

‘This was one of the things I had the hardest time with - people thinking that I had something to do with the car crash or that I had somehow used violence on Tiger. There was never any violence inside or outside our home. The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.

‘Tiger left the house that night, and after a while when he didn't return, I got worried and decided to look for him. That's when I found him in the car. I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car. To think anything else is absolutely wrong.
