EastEnders Actors' Real-Life Partners

Relationships in EastEnders aren't made to last. They're built up to fail spectacularly with loads of drama and shouting and door slamming. That's how it's been from the very start when Ang and Den used to argue and make up. It's part of the show's DNA. Thankfully, the real-life relationships of the EastEnders stars aren't as dramatic. Some of the cast pair off with each other. Couples like Jacqueline Jossa and Tony Discipline or Kara Tointon and Joe Swash last a few years before fizzling out. Other cast members find love outside Albert Square. Let's have a look at some of the soap's biggest stars and the ones they love.

Danny Dyer and Joanne Mas

Danny Dyer was a famous face before he hit Walford, but he didn't need fame to attract Joanne Mas because the pair met when they were 14-years-old. They've been together for more than 20 years but only got hitched in 2016 after Joanne popped the question. According to Dyer, the EastEnders heartthrob's 2012 affair with singer Sarah Harding is behind them now, and they're stronger than ever.

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne

EastEnders babe Jacqueline Jossa found love with The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osborne in 2013, but he's not been the best boyfriend. They're still together despite Dan's cheating. Worst than what he's did between the sheets is what he said to his ex. The expletive-filled rant to Megan Tomlin in which he said, "I swear on this boy's life I will end your f****** life if you shag another man," wasn't enough to break them up. Even if the EastEnders star is OK with threats against another woman, how did she ignore her husband calls their relationship "a mistake" in the recording? She's way more forgiving than most people.

Lacey Turner and Matt Kay

Former EastEnder Lacey Turner had on-screen relationships with Martin Fowler, Max Branning and Bradley Branning, but she's a one-man girl in real life. Her real-life partner, Matt Kay, owns a barbershop, so he's not a famous face. The pair married in September 2017 at a ceremony in Ibiza and have a baby called Dusty, who was born on July 2019, and a new-born called Trilby, who was born in February 2021.

Davood and Isobel Ghadami

Davood Ghadami is known to fans of the show as Kush Kazemi, a role he played between 2014 and 2021. He married Isobel in 2010, and they live in Essex with their daughters Eva and Grace. Not much is known about Isobel or her profession. She keeps herself out of the limelight. That seems to be the best way to maintain a happy relationship if her hubby's co-stars are anything to go by.

Jake Wood and Alison Murray

The Max Branning actor was a regular on the show between 2006 and 2021. His explosive exit from EastEnders was in keeping with a character who set the show alight, but he's a happily married guy with two kids in real life. Jake Wood and Alison Murray have been married since 2001 and live in a converted schoolhouse in Hertfordshire. You won't find anything online about her line of work as Alison keeps herself to herself, although she's known to be a massive EastEnders fan.
