Downey was high on the job

We won't pretend to be surprised by the news that Robert Downey Junior filmed blockbusters whilst under the influence of something a little stronger than coffee and a roll-up. It's RDJ's 'pick me up' that had us thinking the man might actually be made of iron. Where as most of us make do with double strength ibuprofens and a few milky teas after a brutal one, the quirky bad boy came back down to earth with a tuna melt.

He tells this issue of Rolling Stone: 'It used to be that you could throw me out of the back of a party van on to the set, give me a tuna melt, and I could function.'

Nice try Robert, but we're sure someone was feeding him his lines...
