Doh! erty strikes again

Pete Doherty has once again stepped into hot water, this time over the death of his heiress ex-girlfriend Robin Whitehead. She was found dead on Sunday of a suspected overdose of heroin, crack and Valium. Police want to talk to him about the drugs that Whitehead took, and whether he supplied them.

Drugs paraphernalia were found at the Homerton, East London flat where Robin had been that night, and where Doherty himself had once lived. It is believed that he was there with Robin the day before and left drugs there. A warden and other sources confirmed Doherty’s presence to investigating police (and presumably nosey tabloid journos).

‘Peter had been at the flat on Saturday night and left a lot of drugs behind rather than take them with him, because he's such an easy target for the police to search,’ said a friend of Doherty’s to The Sun. ‘Robin had been using heroin and crack cocaine. She also took some Valium to get to sleep and never woke up.’

However, one man says that Doherty wasn’t there at all; Peter ‘Wolfman’ Wolfe, the man who found her body. He claims that they were only drinking nice hot cups of Twinings Tea. Anyone who knows anything about Doherty or music knows who Wolfe is, so rather than risk legal action, let’s leave any descriptions to other reputable news sources.

‘We were drinking lovely Twinings teas,’ he laughably claimed. ‘She had not done drugs that night. She did not have a drugs problem. I would be surprised if it was not prescription drugs.

‘On Saturday we were up late. We just fell asleep. She had her own room and bed made up. I suppose I went to give her coffee about four in the afternoon. She was not responding and I tried to wake her up.

‘I thought maybe she needed to sleep on. I let her sleep and sometime later, there she was - that's when I called the ambulance. It's f****** distressing. I loved her a lot, she was so beautiful, so full of life. I'm devastated and Pete is absolutely devastated.’
