Doctor Who? Catherine Zeta-Jones?
Well well well, who would have funk it? The writer and legend behind the resurgence of Doctor Who, Russell T Davies has suggested that Catherine Zeta-Jones should be the next Doctor.
The script scribbler, who hands the pen to Steve Moffat (Coupling and the new Tin Tin film) after the forthcoming specials, said he’d like to a see a female take the role;
"I think the more a female Doctor is talked about, the more likely it is to happen," he said, adding that he would cast Zeta-Jones or Lesley Sharp (we don’t know her either). Could this mean Michael Douglas as the new Davros? Cheap on the make-up costs.
The Dr Who Christmas Special: The Next Doctor is on BBC1 at 6pm on Christmas Day.
