A man has drowned in a swimming pool on the grounds of the beverly Hills home of Hollywood actress Demi Moore. Moore was not at home at the time of the incident and was shocked and horrified at learning of the tragic death.

The 21 year old man was found on Sunday morning and has since been identified by Los Angeles County Coroner's Office as Edenilson Steven Valle from LA. He was discovered floating in the deep end of Moore's swimming pool and failed to respond to resuscitation attempts by paramedics who attended the scene.

Moore herself was abroad at the time of the incident and a statement released via her publicist said "I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends."

It is believed that a party was thrown by Moore's assistant and it is unknown what led to Mr Valle ending up in the pool. According to his family, he was unable to swim and police reportedly interviewed five people who were in attendance at the party to try and better understand the events which led to the drowning.

When Moore does return home, she could be looking at a lawsuit as according to Entertainment lawyer Julian Chan "In having a party around a pool where people might become intoxicated, a host has a responsibility to ensure their safety." Chan added "As the homeowner, she will be accused of failing to provide proper pool supervision".
